The water was

although I was necesse to keep the Steam Engine at work for several hours after. The fire Tamage was : confined to houses Mrt 15 and 17 ( house No 15 being Enly partially burned)
The fire is believed to have
· been accidental; but the origin
is unknown.
The team Engine of the Houghing Fire Insurance Company arrived with its usual promptitude. but did not work being founders of order
Two men were

apprehended
for unlawful possession, but no reports of robbery have been received, there was a strong force of police in attendance and good order preserved.
